So, someone sent me this T-Shirt to wear proudly and help promote my book. I guess if I looked like this guy when I wore it, it might work. For me, though, folks look at me, then the shirt, then back at me... then walk away giggling.
I have, nonetheless, been going against my nature and tooting my horn concerning this book. I figure 'so at my age and this stage of life, what do I care if some folks see me as a conceited jerk!' To those who do, I'm sorry you feel that way. And to the many that have instead offered words of support and congratulations, I thank you profusely. It has been so good reconnecting with folks I haven't heard from in years.
I learned today that a mechanical engineer who graduated two years after me from my college invented the technology behind 3D printing. Yeah but I bet he never published a book! (I Googled it; he hasn't.)
