After scraping his way through college, Larry landed a job at a big oil company. He was still a naïve, idealistic nerd and didn’t really know what he had gotten himself into. Big Oil expected him to conform to their plan for his career, as countless engineers before him had. Pursuing his own path got him into a lot of trouble and lead to several job and location changes. He recognized early on how his industry was contributing to the pollution of our environment, but could do nothing about it. All this finally changed after he got a job where oil companies were his clients, not his employers. And later, he became involved in a biofuel technology that really could help make the world a cleaner place.
